BC Print and Web Green Position Statement
BC Print and Web, its management and employees, are dedicated to sustainability across the board environmentally, as well as to our clients and our community. It is our philosophy that we can support the needs of our clients and maintain a competitive advantage while proactively working to protect the environment.
BC Print and Web complies and strives to exceed compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local Laws, Rules and Regulations regarding environmental, health and safety standards.
In Production We are Committed to Doing the Following
- Working to certify, to the best of our knowledge, that BC Print and Web complies with all local, state, and federal environmental and health regulations.
- We are committed to ongoing input in the PIA Environmental Results Program.
- Recycling all paper waste in production as well as the office.
- Provide clients with Digital proofs which have no chemical output.
- Using low volatile organic compounds (VOC) inks, and solvent, including soy inks. We are committed to testing no VOC inks.
- We are committed to testing low VOC cleaning solvents.
- In the pressroom all fountain solutions are alcohol free.
- We encourage our clients to make greener choices, including the use of 100% post consumer waste (PCW) paper.
- Established a regular maintenance schedule for all equipment in the office.
- To save energy we encourage all employees to turn off all lights, computers and equipment that is not in use.
Our employees are a valuable resource. We are compliant with all local, state and federal laws regarding ongoing training, workplace safety, wages, and benefits. We believe in a positive, safe and clean working environment, and strive to instill that value in our employees.
BC Print and Web is also committed to community involvement. We maintain membership in good standing with the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, and PIAMS. We also support the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure by donating printed materials and volunteer efforts.
